The good: peppers!

The (slowest growing) watermelon!
The bad:

Unruly tomatoes taking over the backyard.
The ugly:

The squash has the same disease that took out the peas.

  1. Oh, P.S., that’s powdery mildew. I got a bunch of yellow squash before it took over, but then it killed them off, but then it consumed all of them. One has risen, phoenix-like, from the ashes of the rest of itself, and we will see whether that produces any late-season fruit. But the worst part is that it spread to my beautiful, beautiful zinnia garden (quite a few feet away). Maybe the pollinators brought it. In any case…allegedly neem oil can get rid of it, but I tried it and it didn’t work. Story of my garden.

So…where on the East Coast are you moving, exactly? (Or, approximately?)
